The Seaview Hotel

The Seaview Hotel is located in the north-east of the Isle of Wight in the picturesque sailing village of Seaview that neighbours the Historic Victorian town of Ryde.
Situated only a stone's throw from the sea, the incredible Seagrove Bay and Priory Bay are right on our doorstep. The endearing little village has a somewhat nostalgic feel to it as if not much has changed since the fifties! During the summer the Solent teems with a wonderful variety of charming and delightful boats including the historic “Mermaids” some of which are over 100 years old and still sailed today!
Out of season, there's an appealing and, again, unspoiled singular charm to the place. The Island has no lack of stunning walks along the coast as well as inland and is also renowned for its incredible cycling. We also have several dog-friendly rooms.

In a commitment to sustainable travel, the hotel has three Universal Electric Vehicle charging points in the car park.

Your Coastal Retreat

Seaview sits to the eastern end of the town of Ryde, and is a unique village with extensive views across the sea and Solent.
​
Seaview has a reputation for being an upmarket resort, and as such is very popular with tourists. During the summer months the village becomes a busy centre for sailing and watersports.
​
Much of Seaview’s reputation as an Edwardian resort was built on its panoramic sea views and great sandy beaches, and these are still two of its largest assets.
​
The beach of Springvale offers some of the best of these views, straight across the Solent to Portsmouth and the Spinnaker Tower, and the famous Solent forts. To the rear of Springvale is Puckpool Park, which is built within a former Victorian Fortification Battery and has tennis courts, mini-golf and a children’s play area as part of its beautiful gardens. Seaview Beach provides the ideal launch platform for boats and watersports, and there is a yacht club down on its front.

The village sits directly behind here which contains several boutique-style shops, some of which are seasonal. Further down the coast Seagrove beach is possibly the most popular beach in the area and offers gently sloping golden sands for swimming and other activities when the tide is out. The sea wall to the rear of this beach is very popular for walks along to Priory Bay Beach, which has further great views and shallow sands.

The Aquitania is an intimate restaurant located at the front of the hotel combining incredible food with modern unfussy service. The restaurant itself pays homage to The Aquitania, which was known as the ship beautiful and has a razzle-dazzle camouflage feature wall alongside images of the jet-set.
Our menus feature an array of local foods and produce with a style that is very Modern British with a regional Isle of Wight twist. Our Chefs work hand-in-hand with many of the local producers crafting dishes such as our Green Barn Farm goats cheese souffle with a watercress veloute that is simply an incredible taste of the Wight.

The Isle of Wight is also known as the Garden Isle and is home to an amazing range of artisan producers such as Green Barn Farm, The Tomato Stall, Living Larder and many more, all of whose skills and talents we utilise in our culinary creations.
