Whether you prefer to be horizontal on the beach or making the most of the landscape, there's something for everyone to enjoy on the coast this summer. Looking for something to entertain the kids? See cowboys take on dinosaurs in a roarsome battle at Blackgang Chine, take a ride on the Island's very own Steam Train, reach for the sky on the Sandham Sky Nets, get a taste for speed at Wight Karting, feed the animals at Tapnell Farm and meet their piggy trio! The Isle of Wight is proud to boast many top attractions for kids and families of all ages. The best way to see the beauty of the Wight is on foot or by bike for sure. Discover miles of untouched countryside and coastline connected by a network of footpaths and cycle tracks, just waiting to be explored. The Island is proud to boast UNESCO Biosphere Reserve status for our unspoiled landscape, clear waters and thriving wildlife, with 50% of the landscape classed as an area of outstanding beauty. Look out for the Pepperpot at Chale, the Longstone at Mottistone, Tennyson monument, St Catherine's Lighthouse at Niton, the Yarborough Monument and the iconic Needles Landmark and coloured cliffs at Alum Bay on your adventure - just named one of the seven wonders of the UK by the Royal Geographical Society. And keep your eyes on the trees for a sighting of our resident Red Squirrels and to the skies for our impressive Sea Eagles overhead.
